How to Get eFootball 2027 Coins — My Personal Gamer's Tips

So, I present this like a rambling essay that gets there eventually, because that's how I write/communicate and that's been established by my friends who give up trying to stop me.

eFootball 2027 Coins? The ever-looming dilemma.

If you're anything like me, you opened up the 2027 season and saw something like a massive "Big Time Signing" banner showing a ludicrous card. You clicked the thing, felt pure despair as you read the pack price and slowly wandered into a existential crisis about why you have 40 Coins and the pack costs 5,000. Sound familiar? Me too, last week.Let me take the words out of your mouth: Here's everything I've learned about making/increasing your reserve of coins without selling a kidney, plus a few mistakes I made along the way.

1. The boring intro: Coins vs. GP

You know this, obviously. But half of my group chat still mistakes them, so humour me for a moment.

GP is what you earn by winning events and matches. These kinds of things are what earn you the "basic" currency. You'll have millions if you play a lot. Coins, meanwhile, are the proper premium currency. They're what you buy packs with (Konami really wants you to spend money on this game). You need them for featured packs, sometimes special shop offers, and sometimes for renewing your card's contract when you don't want to sell them (RIP my 2022 Iniesta, I kept that man alive for years).

The whole point of being a free-to-play player in this game is hoarding a bunch of coins and spending GP like its going out of style. Write that down, stick it on your monitor, I'm serious.

2. Achievements are the biggest free coin well

This is the thing everyone overlooks and it makes me just a tiny bit angry, really.

Head to the Achievements screen and look at all the things. Play a bunch of matches, score a certain amount of goals, score a header goal, win a penalty shootout, build a squad out of players in the same league, reach a certain Team Strength. You know the kind. Most of these things will happen organically, as you play matches and make squads. The catch is that a decent amount of them don't pop up as completed, and you have to go and claim it yourself!

I learned this the hard way, having gotten on a new season, gone to the Achievements tab, and finding something like 800 unclaimed Coins in my pocket. Eight hundred. I could've bought a decent pack with that. And that's not counting the other achievements I had!

My tip is to set aside a certain day (Sunday is good) to go and log in to the Achievement tab, scroll through everything and tap every achievement that has a glowing icon next to it. Only takes 4 minutes.

3. Log in every day

It's the stupidest piece of advice ever given in human history, but eFootball has always had some pretty generous log-in rewards.

It doesn't even have to be a day where you play a match. Just open it up and claim the thing. I do this while my tea is brewing. It takes 30 seconds.

Additionally, some times I've had the best results with the login rewards were during periods where they were saying sorry for some technical problems: nothing sweeter than being rewarded with some free Coins because the matchmaking servers were down for six hours. Thanks, Konami, genuinely.

4. Tour events and Challenge events are worth doing while they're up

Every week there's some rotating event. Some are Tour events, where you beat a series of COM teams, or Challenge events with some special conditions, or seasons based around actual fixtures. Most of the time these reward you with GP, players and training programmes, but a few have a set of rewards where you get additional Coins per tier, usually if it's a big campaign or anniversary.

The biggest lesson I've learned about these is to do them while they're up. I once saved a whole Tour event to do on the weekend and forgot about it in the chaos of the week and lost out on 300 Coins. Not cool. I was so unhappy I ended up playing Matchday in a rage and ended up losing every match. What a night.

A tip for these is if an event lets you pick a difficulty, the rewards for Coins usually don't change between Superstar and Legend, only for GP. If you want to play for Coins specifically and you're worried about losing, pick a difficulty where you know you won't rage-quit. Protect your blood pressure.

5. Matchday and eFootball League rewards

Matchday is the big community event where you pick a side and everyone brawls it out. The rewards are based on your contribution and whether or not your team won.

Honestly this used to be something I avoided because it felt like the contribution was calculated somewhat randomly and I don't have a lot of patience for that, but one weekend I decided to do it anyway and play my matches, and backed the right team on a hunch and got a nice payout. Now I do it every time.

Same thing goes with climbing Divisions: rewards for promotion and end of season rewards are always up there. It might not be Division 1, but if you're playing up from the bottom you're rewarded for every single step of the way.

6. The "legit cheap" Coins trick: reward apps

This is one of those things I tell people in person and they look at me like I've just revealed the secret location of a nuclear facility.

If you have an Android phone, there is a Google Opinion Rewards app that give you Play Store credit for filling out short surveys. Ten seconds of tapping, "did you visit this restaurant?", over a few months, and you can build up some credit to buy a coin pack. Microsoft has a similar thing if you're on an Xbox or if you do your searches on Bing instead of Google (I know, I know, but free is free).

I bought a decent pack of coins last year entirely with survey credit. It cost me actual money: no pounds. It cost me in dignity, having to answer about ninety questions about my visits to supermarkets, but it was worth it.

7. If you ARE going to spend — spend smart

No judgement here, we all have our sins.

But some rules I stick by

never buy the smallest pack (the value for money is always worse) — if you're going to buy, buy the mid or large sizes.

Buy within the time frame of the double-bonus seasons (Konami sometimes does a first purchase bonus or a seasonal thing of a chunk of additional coins). If you buy outside of those it's just throwing money away.

Decide what you want to pull BEFORE you buy it. This is a big one. The number of times I've bought a pack of Coins specifically to have them and then ended up pulling a pack of cards at midnight because I was bored is embarrassing. I have a 95-rated right back that I have literally never used, to be fair.

My actual weekly routine, if you want to copy it

Because it's good to have examples: here's what I recommend.

Do these things

every day (2 mins): log in, claim the bonus and check if a new event has appeared.

Do these things every day (20-30 mins): a few online matches for progression in Divisions, and for whatever event objectives are active.

Do these things every week: clear out any Tour/Challenge event before it expires, and sweep through the Achievements tab to claim anything.

Do these things every month or so: use any Play Store credit I've accumulated, if there is a bonus campaign running.

Always remember to: sit on my Coins until a card I really want appears. Not a card that is really good, but a card that I want. There's a difference and your enjoyment of the game depends on it.

The thing that changed everything for me was accepting that I'm not going to out-pull the people spending real money, and that's fine

Some of my best squads have been GP-built, random Epic card, weird formation nonsense that should not work but does because I know how to use them. Coins are a tool, and the joy of the game is the football.
